Ben Galea Height 178cm Weight 95kg
Ben Cockayne Height 175cm Weight 86 kg
Chev Walker Height 191cm Weight 101kg
Scott Wheeldon Height 183cm Weight 98kg
So why couldnt Chev have gone in at centre, then we could have kept the best half back combination in Cookie and Dobson, Wheeldon has been excellent of late, and Ben Cockayne would have been perfect at replacing Fithenry at Hooker. That then would have given us not only more size but also more skill and aggression.
- Galea is more more mobile than Cooke and has a lower centre of gravity and is stronger with it.
- It was right to player Chev in the 2nd row because of his size rather than leave out in the centre watching the pack getting smashed even more.
- The ommission of Wheedlon proved the correct decision because we looked the most assured and solid with Netherton and Mills in the front row - due to their size.
- Anyone who thinks Cockayne would be a better hooker than Fitzhenry just do not pay enough attention to the game; 1) Fitzhenry was excellent at starting hooker giving us excellent variation. 2) Cockaynes left-to-right passing off the floor is nothing short of shocking - which to me indicates that a lot of people don't know what they're talking about or don't pay enough attention to the game. Cockayne is a top-class utility back; not a hooker.
