When your boss tells you to do something, you do it and because Bret's ego wouldnt let him drop the belt, Vince had to take matters into his own hands. Bret became a nobody and the WWE became even stronger. I just dont understand all this love for a limited wrestler and all this pity for him because of what vince did.

but he got a red carpet send off , topped the bill at HOF and his retirement topped the story lines of that year. its as bad as JR / Dirty Den making a comeback if he needs to pay the bills he could of done commentary or another organization if they would have him.

True , it was a great send off, but to say the whole event means nothing is over the top me thinks, it doesnt help when Vince keeps putting contracts in front of his face, Flair cant just walk out whenver he likes. If he actually 'wrestles' again then a valid point will have been made, but at the moment he's just there to help move the Batista Orton storyline on, throwing a few chops here and their does not consitute a comeback.

Hey that Fighting Talk writer must be under the weather - he's now covered wrestling 2 weeks running!!! Good article about Evan Bourne today.
Re Ric Flair, what he can't see is that his respect and legend level reached a new high last year whith the HOF ceremony and amazing WM match. All the returns do is tarnish the legacy he created and was meant to end last year. Same with Piper, though it's good to see legends like these return it's also depressing when you see clips on that popular video sharing website of their heyday and then see them now trying to do the same things in the ring.

Why just drag it up when nobody else was talking about Bret Hart?
Bret wouldn't drop the belt to Michaels, because Michaels refused to job for anyone. Every other wrestler in the locker room hated Michaels and if it wasn't for the Undertaker's intervention, he wouldn't have dropped the belt to Austin at Mania 14.
Go and troll on the Wigan board about mines and pies or something or other. Class A wankstain.
Hey, im sorry I spoke ill of the man of your fantasies. Im just saying how I see it. The point is, if your boss tells you to do something, you do it. By going against Vince, it speaks volumes about the person Bret was. And for some one who loves Bret as much as you do, surely you would know that Bret "WOULD" drop the belt to Micheals, just not that night. It wasnt a case of never, as you implied in your post. Vince couldnt risk it so screwed Bret Hart, which was pretty funny, you gotta admit.
ANyway, it worked out in the end. Hart got his money and Vince made the attitude era
