How as the debt gone from £40000 to around £80000, i know some of the players were on contracts from last year but a lot are on playing terms only.
we must have saved in the region of £40000 - £50000 from Bauer, Green, Handforth, Briggs and Haley going, who i presume were contracted players.

The Dons would not have saved 40K TO 50K just yet on the players contracts, they have only just recently left, the Taxman also puts interest on what is owed to him on a daily basis and I’m sure that sponsorship would have been placed into the projections to run the club (Credit crunch has killed off the companies that the Dons would have been targeting)

I thought the club were been advised on business & financial matters by a group of local business people surely a good piece of sensible advice would have been to to always make sure your payments to the Inland Revenue & VAT are always paid & up to date yet it is rumoured the club owes the inland revenue around £40k
Nat 1 teams receive £100k from the RFL this season somethig they didn't get last season & we were told we were starting off a debt free club this season and wouldn't be living beyond our meams yet half way through the season we are in administration with debts of around £80k how as this happened in such a short period of time ?

Geoff please see my post timed at 5.53pm 3rd June on the Admin thread. That broadcast from Dave Marshall will fill in all the missing blanks from this dialogue. Thats if someone can carry out what I suggested. If not available then PM me.

Dont believe all you are told by the RFL , the 100k per club is not what it seems , just more RFL positive ' spin '

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

The question is did the club submit there business plan to the RFL for there approval based on what amount of payment they would receive from the RFL this season?

Its straightforward as far as i can see-

The club submitted a budget to the RFL which was approved.
A short time afterwards the clubs gone bust.

Lower attendences, less sponsorship than projected etc cant be totally to blame for the said level of debt.

Sadly i cant see the clubs long suffering fans ever finding the true reasons-although its not hard to figure it out.

To get this money from the RFL involves employing key personel that in all honesty you probably dont need

There is little if any cash monies from the RFL
