Anyone watching Oldham against Fev see the ref go back to a tackle in the air?
I have no problem with a video ref being used BUT firstly if the ref thought enough of the situation to give it to the VR then why didnt he give Oldham the penalty straight away.
Also what would have happened if Fev hadn't gone over on that same tackle as I think a VR can only go back to the current tackle.
The decision was correct but only Fev 'scoring' seemed to highlight the fact.
You could argue that Fev were not smart enough to not score on that tackle though.
If that was meant to be tackle it's the worst tackle attempt I've ever seen! No way was that a penalty, all players were contesting the ball and it should've been a try, IMO.

On that our views differ but that wasnt my point really.

There was no advantage though it was a foul on Oldham and Fev had the ball in hand!

It's something I really dislike about the video ref. It gives the ref the option of not making a decision in the hope a try is scored so he can refer it on. The only problem with that is if the team dont score on that play but on the next and have got away with something that the ref would normally have pulled them up on. Ok that made sense in my head

I thought Hewer ask th VR to check knock on and grounding, (just having a look again), but it is strange that had Fev not scored, then that would have been an end to it, the Prop didn't look overly happy with the decision
