if he was 31/32 i'd understand a 2 year extension but as he's 23 i'd honestly expected him to sign a 4+ year deal.

If he had have signed a four year deal, you would then, probably have said you expected him to sign a five year deal.
There is always the option to extend it by another year or so if it suits him and the club, as it is, it' is very good news for Hull Kr.
