Wouldnt say as yet as the club are looking into things for me. Surfice to say very bad press could result for both the Warriors and the stadium owners.

most seem to be scousers as well,
I don't notice how I changed I attend both Football and Rugby but the stewards at wigan are some of the worst I have encountered at both sports.

Ah, but it's a well known fact that if you attend football you're a thug and if you attend RL you're a well behaved individual who respects the family nature of the sport. No inbetween, no black and white and you can't possibly follow both sports with such differing personalities...

Wigan Warriors 19 man squad

Roberts, Carmont, Richards, Smith, Leuluai, Fielden, Riddell, Paleaaesina,
Hock, Bailey, O'Loughlin, J. Tomkins, Coley, Hansen, McIlorum,
Prescott, Phelps, Gleeson, S. Tomkins.

Salford City Reds 19 Man Squad:

Wilshere, Talau, Goulding, Henry, Smith, Myler, Sibbit,
Cashmere, Alker, Stapleton, Parker, Swain, Turner,
Littler, Leuluai, Ratchford, Adamson, Jewitt, Thornley

Salford City Reds veteran New Zealander Robbie Paul will miss his first match of the season after a neck injury ruled him out of the Reds’ visit to Wigan Warriors on Friday.

His place will be taken by fellow countryman Jeremy Smith, who has missed the last five games with a knee injury.

“Robbie has a neck problem that flares up from time to time so he needs a week to rest it,” said coach Shaun McRae.

“We have no game the week after so he effectively gets a fortnight off so he should be fine for the game after that.”

Salford recall winger Darrell Goulding, who is on loan from Wigan but was ineligible to play in last Friday’s Carnegie Challenge Cup quarter-final against the Warriors.

Wigan have Stuart Fielden plus stand-off Tim Smith is back from compassionate leave in Australia.

looking at the 19 man squad i'd say littler and thornley to miss out, smith to start instead of ratchford, not because he played bad last week but i think he would cause more problems to them coming off the bench at hooker to replace malc, using his pace to speed it up around the ruck! Just hope our forwards can get on top this week!

I agree, Littler and Thornley have to miss out. I also tend to agree with what you are saying about Ratchford and Smith. Alker works hard but he does make the side very predicatable and he offers little threat around the ruck. There are times when we are crying out for a change at hooker so that we offer more threat there and maybe Ratchford or indeed Smith could do this.

I have said it for years, Alker tackles like a demon but offers little else.
Hookers nowadays have to be mobile and quick around the PTB.
In one game this year I think agains Staines Jordan Turner played there and the change was there for all to see.
I am not saying put him there all the time, but it is obvious for all to see we need more speed in there.

Yes Turners passing was excellent when Malcolm went off - flat and two yards longer than Malc and forwards were running well away from the ruck.
