Is this Ranger fella getting a gig next year or what then?

:)

You'd miss me if I went.

Hopefully. Shearer rates him which is obviously a big thing to have on his side. Scored another for the England U19's against Scotland on Monday night to take his tally to 4 goals in 3 starts.

There was a rumour last week that Ferguson has been keeping tabs on Vuckic (the lad in my avatar).

Dont think our Midfield is that bad but we certainly need 1 or 2 top midfielders, The lack of strikers was our problem last season not our midfield.

If Nolan brings his Bolton form he would be a good signing but from what ive seen of him at Newcastle he seems to have gone downhill TBH.

Also dont know why you are picking on Ashbee yes he does give the ball away a fair bit but the amount of Attacks he breaks up is impressive and we miss his leadership skills when he doesnt play and he's better than Boateng who started off well at the start of the season but since he got injured hes been so slow and its painful watching him and needs to go IMO

Don't know what to believe hear, because the Real Madrid Times aka MARCA are reporting that Kaka has already signed for Real and will sport the number 5 shirt recently worn by Zidane.

Mate, unlike you I don't have to try ;) ;)

Robbie Rotten - I'd be amazed if there was a professional footballer who was bigger than him. Think huddlestone as 6" taller and about 12" wider. He's huge. If I was to entertain my bespectacled, fcum hoolie, I would go as far as to say that Clayton McDonald is 'massive'

Chelsea have denied a bid according to the Beeb.

Fair enough, it just read a little that way with you saying a player who effectively makes your midfield worse would improve Hull's midfield.

Not hard to be better than Ashbee TBH, I'd agree there, but I don't actually think he should be a 1st pick for City. Nolan isn't actually all he's cracked up to be IMO, and I'm not convinced he'd be an improvement over Boateng in anything other than maybe being just a little bit more mobile. Hence why my preference would be for them to pursue Huddlestone.

*jonny* wrote:Not the case IMO. The defence was OK but the midfield and strikeforce were really poor. Newcastle's midfield was superior to hull's however it was still pretty dire and as Ash has said Nolan was a huge contributor. Not the player he once was (a huge theme throughout Newcastle's squad).

The Hull midfield was ok until it got the ball. Defensively and in terms of work rate it was holding it's own against most teams. Only Barmby had any idea what to do in possession though, and it was also made worse by poor/no movement up front. I don't for one minute think it's a good midfield, but from what I saw of Newcastle it was pretty much the same standard. Despite this, a bit more clinical finishing from the strikers and Newcastle would have been down before the Boro game in all probability, so it was still up front and not midfield that almost cost them relegation.

How come Newcastle and Boro have got a bye in the Carling Cup?

I'm with ash I'm afraid, Ashbee isn't up to the top flight. Putting a foot in and being a leader isn't enough. you also need to be able to keep the ball as possession is key. This is something that Boateng is actually much better at, and I personally think it was noticeable when he returned and Ashbee then got injured that City then started to have the ball a bit more.
