Dobson or Long ?
Long is an excellent player who is not as good as he was in recent years, he will not get any better. Also there must be a question about his ability to perform as well in a mediocre side rather than a world class side, how much of his game was about playing with class from 1 to 13. Good option by FC though as they need a 7 badly and he will give them the breathing space to either bring one through the ranks or look elswhere.
Dobson is also an excellent player and making the assumption he will still be with us long term I have no doubt about having him over a 32 yrs old who will inevitably have a decline in standards over the next two years. Dobson will get better and with the right coaching and in a side where he is the main playmaker, he could become world class as Long once was.

history won't win you future medals!
Bit of a gamble but given Hull's current lack of talent they aren't really going to lose anything if he ends up injured or dropping down a gear or two.
I'd still take Dobson on a 4 year contract over Long on two years any day of the week.

His cupboard is full, apparently he has no more room for medals so he signed for FC

Yes you can bet your bottom dollar that Longy will be up there looking at international caps, final medals etc... however seeing as those would be from fprevious seasons they are not included on the current stats.
Longy... has done OK with the Saints pack but goodness knows what will happen with your set of forwards
