EDIT: Just seen the bit about postal sales.

Purchase by debit card over the phone (if you can get an answer) and show your season ticket in the shop. I do it all the time for my daughters' tickets for away games as I work away from home all week.

If anything, a smaller venue and all the sell out hype can mislead people and put them off buying a ticket. IIRC, the 2004 semi didn't sell out; I and other ST holders I knew didn't get a ticket, assuming they were all sold out.

JWP is on holiday until the 15th, he get's to most if not all home games but returns from holiday to find he cant get a ticket because there sold out. He then finds out that many tickets have been sold to people that hardly go the games if at all.

That doesn't sound fair so with the club doing it this way they are making sure that people without Season tickets who still attend a good number of games are getting looked after before those who have a friend of a friend.

Im in that boat. Didn't get a ST because Im only able to attend 75%ish of home games.
Im away between the 9th and 15th, stupid idea imo.
Should have either picked a bigger venue (yes i know they were proved right 5 years ago) or gave more time to plan and sold them in July.

Remember when you's and Wigan played there last time, there were still seats empty

There was uproar when the Hull v wakey semi was announced at the keepmoat last season and it didn't sell out. Doubt either of these will. It's much better to have a (nearly) full smaller stadium than a 2/3 rd's empty larger one. i doubt anyone who really wants a ticket will miss out
