The two trys in the game (the wire one on the pass from King) were very good examples of the dreaded momentum rule I have no bother with either but would not complain if the king pass had been called forward. Just hope they are as good against Wigan as it would be nice to have a diferent final than of late.

there is no such thing as the momentum rule!! twice guest refs of the touch line show on real radio have been asked about it and both times have said there is no such rule, a pass is forward or its not

kings wasnt!! dobsons was. its clear as day. you can see from the marks on the pitch and where the players were when the ball was passed/received

didnt see that one as it wasnt the telly game!! but dobsons wasnt as bad as the siants one against wire in last years CC game. that must have been 3 meters forward appossed to the 2ish meters by dobson

It has nothing to do with where the ball ends up or Stevo's stupid "momentum rule", it's the DIRECTION OF THE BALL RELATIVE TO THE PLAYER as it leaves a player's hands.

That is absolutely correct and that is why the Dobson pass wasn't forward imo. Also the ref was in a very good position to judge it.

Suggest you actually read the rules mate if you think Stevo made this one up!

2 super league refs have both said there is no such rule as stevo describes it.

you have to take into account players may well be running when the ball is passed but a pass is only ever forward if the player throws the ball forward.

which bit of that dont you get??
