Is it really the best way to get a scoreline from cup games that are tied after 80 mins??
Or would something like 2 halves ten mins each way be better then conversions if theres still no winner.

Another 20 minutes onto one of the most tiring games on the planet? The Golden Point is by no means perfect, but it's the best we've got IMO.

extra time or replay should be the way to go

Having been lucky enough to actually play in Extra time game(lost by a try) and also watch Cas and Halifax game i would say it is a great way to finish a game.

Future is bright for Cas i believe we win the League in the next 5 year.

I agree and it adds a lots of drama, it may be painfull to the loosing team but some1's goto to loose if its GP or replay or whatever, the only downside to it IMO is that the game may be won on a toss of the coin, who gets the ball first are going to have a mass advantage, look at cas v halifax, halifax kicked off and before they know it, its over.
But overall I think GP is a gd way
