Hi there,
Just wanted to know which other clubs have had their away games in France moved to a Sunday KO?

I know of a fair few fans that are now flying to France on Friday and back to the UK on Sunday, just before kick off....and let's say, they aren't very happy.

Surely SKY and the RFL/Superleage must know that reservations are made the minute the fixtures come out, as Ryanjet and Easyair bump the prices up as soon as they figure something is going on.

That really is poor, but not a surprise.

I wonder if it has ANYTHING to do with that the other BORING code or the "beautiful  game"

I don't know but its possible.

However SKY call the shots in this game, at professional level, no matter who thinks otherwise.

It does beg the question why choose that match? Hardly a match you'd look at the table and think hmmm thats a crucial game. Catalans v Warrington v Barcelona (both chasing top 8 and it's in Spain) or Catalans v Hull KR will have been better picks for me to televise from France.

There isn't a Sky Saturday match that weekend so that explains the Sunday switch but I'd be fuming if put in that position.

I think it'll be the first time a Catalans league match hasn't been played on a Saturday Night (barring Easter).

Just in the same way that a fair few Leeds fans travel arrangements have been put out of joint by the Quins Vs Leeds game being shifted to a 6pm start .... Clearly they don't live in the real world where the last train back North from Kings Cross goes at 8pm / 8.30pm on a Saturday

To change my flights to the Mon with Ryanair is more costly than the initial return flights. Plus the extra night accom not forgetting beer at 5 euros a pint.......and its 2 weeks before we go on holiday( which I had arranged when we didn't have any games and now we have the rearranged Bradford game in the middle weekend at home!!!)

I feel like a Wigan fan who's just looked at the league table

I do not want to sound too cynical BUT i think sky and the RFL probably put a lot of thought into it and the fact that it will only affect a small no of fans was part of the thinking.

Sky's thinking will probably be more along the lines of, "yeah, some some people won't like it, but how are you going to replace that big bag of money that we sent your way?"

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
