Right, not far then.

I live a mile or so from there.

Just off Cromwell Road if you know it.

You didn't say finished in the original post did you.

I doubt we'll be the only ones with no ground started when the next 3 year Super League licences are up for grabs so there goes the argument once more.

Haven't you got better things to do....like go on the Leeds site and ask them to stop in a pub in Bridgend when the game is on. Oh and by the way, where is the Linttern Tree?

You can add to that list the Saints, Cas, Wakefield, Salford. They all have new grounds in the pipeline that will not be finished.

Not going to be much of a Super League is it going on your judgement?

Well, for one, Saints' playing record and youth development will keep then safe come what may. But even so...

...roll on Halifax, Widnes, Leigh, Tolouse Olympique and Whitehaven. Three heartland clubs with decent grounds, a second international club and a Cumbrian franchise (or pick your own alternatives, if yo don't like mine). I think SL would survive. I'm pretty sure, too, so would Cas, Saints, Wakefield and Salford.

What about Crusaders?

--

I know I will be accused of being faceios, but it's a genuine question which articulates my concerns if the RFL have got it wrong this time around. And, for the record, I do hope you get your ground and your fanbase up in time to keep your franchise. But what if you don't?

We'll be alright. Don't you worry about us and get your own house in order ready for it.

I am confident we can get another one and there is a lot to be done and rugby to be played in between.

We got virtually 3,000 home fans for our last home game against a team many hadn't heard of and with us being bottom of the league. I think we can push on from here.

Hope you're right Crucru.... I know we've not always seen eye-to-eye, but I do actually think we want broadly the same things..

...the question still remains, though, do you think CC could survive if they had to take a spell back in the national leagues? 3000 fans + a Championship Colts team suggests you could...

Yes but would the fans take the drop back down, I doubt it.

If we did drop down and wanted to be realistic about survival we would have to bring the local lads from the reserve set up and see how they do. That would be the only way of surviving, in my opinion.

I am confident we can make a go of it and we have a few aces in the pack as a few grounds of union clubs have contacted Crusaders to play games their. That is the advantage over other clubs as our eggs are not all in one basket. We have a new stadium in the pipeline but as you have been pointing out there is a ground at Cardiff Arms Park, Newport, Swansea Llanelli etc etc that are just the right size and would suit us perfectly. If, for example your Castleford or Wakefield go back to the rfl when the franchises are up again I don't think they have much going for them outside of the new grounds. If they don't happen they have no other option or very limited at least. With Crusaders we have a safety net of grounds that would cry out for our team to play there if the Crusaders approached them.
