you bring up a very good point
Coaches dont seem to do that as they stick to the planned interchanges and not much else

Barrie McDermott for Leeds against Bradford the week before the 2005 Cup Final is the last one that springs to my mind...

Sounds like a player John Kear usually takes on, low on confidence but has ability, and if he keepsplaying like that he will be cheap enough so they can afford him
No thanks. I seem to remember hearing he had trials with us as a youth and was laughed at then beacuse of the idea of a Geordie playing professional RL. Whilst clearly there is no reason it shouldn't happen, in his case I think it is a valid point. At times he looks to have some talent, but there are too many weaknesses in his game and far too often he looks like a little boy lost.

Thorman always seems to me to be a player very much like Jamie Rooney. When confident they look decent players but as soon as their form takes a down turn they look poor and a little clueless. Worse still they seem unlikely to escape out of the rut and play themselves back into form. Rooney lost his in 2007 and it’s not been seen since.
For all those saying he is a confidence player. He had basically all the fans behind him at the start of the season, and we were winning games, but he was still crap. Hes been crap all season and thats why the fnas are now turning on him.
I cant believe I actually said early on this season Hudds should have got rid of Brown or Robinson instead of him, I'm actually embarrased. Thorman would not play 7 for any other SL team, in fact I'm not sure he would play at 6 for any other SL team either. He is an awful player.

I do feel sorry for Thorman, he was brought in to do a job that he isnt capable off, its not his fault a terrible decision was made by those in charge of recruitment at Hull, we didnt need a world beater, what we needed was someone with a good long range kicking game and could basically get us round the field, Thorman is so far away from this, he is not a playmaker at all, I have seen him play well in the past but from 6 were he looked threatening running the ball and with the odd short range kick, he is completely lost used as the main pivot, I cant remember there ever being a 7 who plays week in and week out there in the SL era as poor, he really is that bad and while I dont think any personal abuse is warrented, he has been shockingly bad, I think the best for him now is to play at stand off or fullback in the reserves to try and build some confidence and get his career back on track.
lets find a scapegoat and stick with him such a pity he is not black or jewish.
get rid of Thorman and everything will be rosy in west Hull.
HkR will not be second in the league. they will not be winning the derbies and the Airlie Birds will rise from the ashes like a Phoenix.
Sad Fookers.
get behind your team and players and they might do something.
get rid of the board and you might do something.
get rid of your coach and you mighr do something
Thorman was a good player and still is . He has lost his pace and needs good players around him. Isolated as he is his weaknesses are shown up. None of that is his fault.

Missing eight tackles in one half, all of which were his to make and all of which were very makeable is his fault. Solely his fault. And that's without taking into account the terrible kicks, the awful passing, the stupidity of giving away a needless penalty on the last tackle and that unacceptability of failing to put in any effort to deny Webb. And that's all from one game. One HALF!
He's not the only problem with the club (the people who signed him and played/continue to play him are at least as culpable), but his showings this year are a big problem.

You're a bit of an idiot, aren't you?
Not one single Hull fan has blamed our poor season entirely on Thorman. That's nobody, in case you missed it. He did, however, put in the worst 40 minutes that I can recall from any Hull player in the last 20 years. This on top of a far from stellar performance against Wire. Subsequently he is getting some entirely justified criticism, and some OTT stuff.
Such is life.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One
