Quite disappointing really

We actually got better last year as the season went on. We were bloody woeful for the first two months.

TBH if anyone had said we'd only be a game or two back at the end of May before this season started I'd have been pretty pleased with that. Obviously the fantastic start and the subsequent spectacular slide makes that a bit harder to take.
