The vast majority of fans would accept, however grudgingly, a lack of ability or a dip in form. What Thorman did manage last night, was to produce a distinct lack of commitment and he produced it in spades.

Huddersfield go down, London offer him a way to stay in SL. Played OK in a couple of games, buggered off to the Eels...failed there, went back to Huddersfield for 4 years. Played 94 games, kicked 315 goals and scored 41 tries, so a try rate of .4 a game, with 3.3 goals......hardly a "machine" by any stretch of the imagination.
I love the biog on the slstats page:
.........Formerly the club captain of Huddersfield, Thorman switches to Hull FC as a replacement for Adam Dykes. Previous clubs include Gateshead and London Broncos, Thorman also had a spell in the NRL with Parramatta. An excellent goal kicker and regular scorer, Thorman is often suspicious in defence.

That try scoring record is pretty good, the goal kicking is low because some of that time he was second choice kicker to the likes of De Vere. Thorman was good for Huddersfield, he did organise us, but he was so closely linked to Sharp that when Sharp's popularity fell so did Thorman's. I've not seen much of him since he has gone to Hull, although he did play well against us.

The worst move he made was going to the NRL. He came back with no flair or pace. He was an excellent prospect at London.

No he wasn't. He was an OK english player which in 2003 was a bit of a rarity at the Broncos in those days, but he was never going to be a world beater. He is also rumoured to have said he was home sick in London....so he bu99ered of to Australia  That's up there with Luke Dorn leaving us for Salford to win trophies
Thorman at best is a Championship player and his inability to tackle (or want to tackle) is well documented

agree with that - he went downhill when Mr Sharp decided that this lad who was a decent half back was suddenly a ......full-back so i dont understand why he followed him !
His performances suffered because of being played in an unfamiliar role and because of that the crowd at Huddersfield got on his back for it - i felt sorry for CT because it wasnt his fault that he was being made to play at full back but that decision by Jon Sharp led to Thorman been the badly performing self confident lacking guy we see today.
He was phenomonal in his 1st spell with us playing as stand off and IMO should have been kept there instead of Knackering him up.

I felt for him last night. He had a real nightmare.

Thorman has been the best player the Bulls have faced this season.
