one of the down sides of relegation. a team that has stayed up by the skin of it's teeth, having won just one of their last 21 games and only minutes after being beaten at home is celebrating, singing their manager's name and giving their very average players a standing ovation.

He was shot in both arms , and both legs. He later died because of his injuries. Tommy 25th March 2007.
Salford City Reds are the National League Champions again and nobody will ever win a Grand Final more dramatically than this. Division One champions, Grand Final winners, winners of the Northern Rail Cup; everything their hearts desired. Down and out? Not a bit of it, they are never out. Memories are made of this forever and a day, Salford fans will ask "where did you watch the 2008 Grand Final? Where did you see John Wilshere save the day with the last kick of the ball?"

DKWIB's prior in this suggests if he saw it, he's going to comment on it. Can't prove either way whether he did or didn't so we'll just have to leave it.
I was watching Newcastle and didn't see any Downs kid. It's as simple as that. I flicked to Hull-United every so often but mainly wanted to laugh at fat Geordies.
I may have looked away for a milli-second and missed it and fair enough if I did, but all I saw was a short clip of eedjits on the pitch, well after the final whistle.
Besides, I don't see a link between mental hospital and a kid with Downs? I think you're being a bit over-sensitive but to be fair I'm not really that 4rsed. Let's all laugh at Shearer again...
