Both for teams going up and going down

And these are the things that we go to watch sport for

Take note the RFL

Brilliant quote at the end of the Play off match discussing Scunthorpe

" They could be playing Newcastle next season "

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

If it was all about advancing up the leagues on merit, they wouldn't have had the opportunity to go to Wembley. But soccer does recognise their own, albeit differing, financial realities and so promotes the winners of a tacked-on play-off, often at the expense of the side with the third best record in the league that year.

Bradford gave us Hockney, Leeds gave us Moyles.

I'm sure there's as much discussion as you want on the last day of the footall season, on the other sports forum
