Great idea - very shrewd too.

As a Cas fan in Widnes I was made up to see so many heading to and from the stadium - hopefully they keep doing it!

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

To be honest, we couldnt have picked a better game to let people in for free, we were 24-0 down after 30 minutes so the second half was very exciting for a Widnes fan or a neutral.

Hopefully we can get the attendances up, there was a time we used to average 3.5 - 4k even in this league.

No I didn't.

I think we topped 7k against Rochdale one year with an offer of bringing a mate for free for season ticket holders.

Or maybe I made that up.

I knew this thread would be hijacked by the same old fools. I'm not saying all Widnes fan's are angels, but the like of 'crucrucrusaders' and 'Leaguefan' and a few others I could mention, are everything they are constantly bitching about, but are just too thick to see it.

They are actually inciting and perpetuating the bad feeling and hatred amongst fans.

On thread drift:

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

And Brewery Field is really packing 'em in this season isn't it.

What were the quotes that were being banded around this time last year? "Bring Super League to South Wales and the crowds will come..."

But then I guess that's still 'all ifs buts and maybes' isn't it...

Leaguefan? Bit of a misnomer for someone who spreads so much bile across this forum?

Perhaps you should change this signature or heed some of your own words..
