Agreed, I think Tony Smith has his head screwed on a bit more than Cullen when it comes to contract lengths.
I'm glad we've re-signed Grix as didn't want to lose him at the end of the season. Due to previous injuries, a year is probably sensible to begin with. Bythe still has a lot to prove, but hopefully can start fulfilling his potential in what's left of this season and next.
Happy for both players, I tend to watch the reserves and academy games, with some of my mates who play/ed at the local clubs.
Think this is good that they are giving contracts to the younger lads, this is what Tony Smith has said he is interested in doing. Who else do you think will make the grade from these 2 teams.
Also does anyone know if Lee Mitchel has been given a new contract. I think there a few really good prospects, but be interested to see what others think.

Mitchell looks a decent prospect to me, I think he's contracted until 2011 as well.
Blythe needs to shape up, he's been very poor this year. He's getting the odd opportunity, as is Mitchell, up to one of them to kick on now. Having both of them helps I think, we're not overusing them, as oppose to last year whereby they were subjected to playing say 8 games back to back, and it told by the play offs.
Blythe had an excellent start to his career at Wire and really looked promising in 2008, but he seems to have gone down the long path of many a wayward Wire youngster and his off filed activities have somewhat made him lose focus. A year deal is enough for him to prove that he has the ability to do well.
Casual Army, wear armarni, drink in darli, like to party!!!!!!
watched the reserves @ wilderspool this season and i must say imo tyrone mcarthy looks a much better prospect than both and am amazed he hasnt been given oppurtunity yet in 1st grade.
