there are loads of irish bars just off la rambla. if you're walking down la rambla towards the port there's a big on down a side street on your left. think it's called molly malones. would imagine it will be packed and quite a few fans will find their way there.

Yeah some dodgy reviews! Booked it because it was pretty cheap, and the location seems ok. We are only staying there the fri/sat night then flying back to benidorm on the sunday. As long as i have a bed and a bar is nearby it will do me

Thanks again! I was going to ask if you knew of any decent bars etc. What prices are the drinks? Someone told me you pay around 5 euro's a beer

depends where you go. if you're anywhere near la rambla be prepared to pay top whack. you could do worse than try your hotel bar for a couple.
drinking in the streets in barcelona is a big no no.
if you're out late and looking for a drink there are always pakistanis walking round with cans they've bought from the supermarket for 20p each and are willing to let you have for a mere 2 euros

Just booked mine, three of us going for a mate's 20th, flying to Reus on the friday and then home from Girona on the Monday for 70 quid return (the flight from Reus is at 7am or something, whereas the one from Girona is in the evening) and we're staying in the Barcelona Mar hostel for about 60 quid for the three nights, bargain!
Well worth going into an overdraft for... can't ruddy wait...

Looking at the seating plan, we have 4 blocks, down the side of the staduim (half way line) 3 blocks priced at £13 a ticket one block at £18 a ticket (without roof) With the £13 tickets if can change blocks if you like but not with the £18 tickets. The opposite side of the stadium(half way line) we have one block (with roof) piced at £18 a ticket.
Some good deals at present for anyone still thinking of booking.
Just booked a flight from Liverpool to Reus on the Friday returning Sunday morning for £53 with Ryanair, Thursday even less. If you have an electron card you don't pay all the stupid fees. I knew there was a reason I kept mine going
Now for anyone in the know if I buy tickets over in Barca are they for the same blocks that the club are selling and are they the 5 euro seats?

It's a joke that, wasn't it Ryanair who kicked up a fuss about the £10 charge to get into Blackpool airport a while back? Smells like hypocrisy to me...
My electron card expired 2 months ago and they sent me a visa debit, so if it wasn't for my flatmate having one we would've been charged £20 (we're flying to reus and back from girona, the times are better)

Agreed, they were also thinking of adding £1 to spend a penny.
Our group are staying in a town called Tarragona which although about 40 miles from Barca is ideal for catching the early flight back on Sunday. Some going on the Thursday and one on the Friday but all returning on the Sunday flight.

also... I don't know if this has been posted before but apparently there's an international match before the game? Catalonia v Czech republic :s
If anyone is still looking for a hostel for around €25 a night,
http://www.barcelonamar.com/pricerooms.html which is quite central, with the 'Barcelona sound' hostel round the corner slightly cheaper.
