Thanks SO. Everyone seems to be very reticent about reporting what was said at the meeting. I thought it was an open mtg and hence don't really know why there is a reluctance to report. Would have been there but i had a previous commitment. Would really like to know more detail but get the feeling thats not going to be forth coming.

People involved and all that.

Any mention of the player Miller was quoted as "having moved fast to replace Handforth"?

Say what you mean and mean what you say because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.

Sorry but just got in and not going to start putting things on till tomorrow, due me having to go to bed for work tomorrow, but to quickly answer some of the questions, the player Hasty does not look like he is coming and Peter Green has gone to Sheffield.

Will get together with Gary (Wanderer) and post on here hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks to all the people who turned up and also Carl Hall and Steve Miller for there input.

Rugbyman has retired. Welcome to Another Penalty

I would like to say a big thank you to the 40-odd people who turned out this evening and also to Carl Hall for putting himself in the firing line and Steve Miller for assisting in fielding some of the questions.

Also thanks to the Drum for the hospitality (particularly at fairly short notice).

I don't want to seem evasive (and yes it was a public meeting) but this forum is also open to others who are not supporters of our Club so we just need to think about how we word things at this difficult time.

Some of the news has broken on here anyway such as Pete Green going to Sheffield but I made a few notes during the meeting and will post some info tomorrow.

I was a ardent Dons supporter for years, but I stopped going at the start of this season. The downfall of the Dons started when they got promoted, and then the move away from Tattersfield. Ever since they have been on a downward spiral.

I think the current Chief Executive has taken on a poison chalice and is seriously struggling from a lack of experience. The supposed "consortium of backers" have been useless. Everyone can give advice because it's free, but and it's their lack of financial commitment that is particularly annoying. And remember who the figurehead was in putting this group together, in a fanfare of publicity.

It's a sad thing to say but maybe it would be best if the Dons folded now. It's obvious that the town doesn't want them.

Couldn't make it last night due to work commitments but have had some stuff few through, a lot of which was doing the rounds anyway (ie Pete)

Was it actually mentioned if the club was in or going towards adminsitration or is that just being assumed and the steps taking place are to prevent that

Nothing was mentioned on that score--and as far as i could make out any
talk of going into administration would be considered premature at this stage--thats my own personal take on it for what its worth.
