There may well be a point worth debating about scantily clad cheerleaders (objectifying women and all that), but to justify doing away with them because some throwback can't keep his d*ck in his pants really doesn't cut the mustard for me.

It's an opportunity for girls who are into that kind of thing to perform in front of a reasonably sized crowd. They are not there for men to perv over, and if people do then it's a pretty sad indictment of themselves anyway.

More to the point, when are we going to get some decent RL journalists?

If the Salford cheerleaders are anything to go by then no. They certainly promote the sex-free public image with aplomb :D

no because the odd minor incident once a decade is not enough reason to ban it. if a dog bites someone it gets put down, but you don't put every other dog in the country down. ( i am not comparing cheerleaders to dogs, just trying to make a point)
