Since our promotion to Super League Justin Morgan has had to make a lot of decisions regarding signing of and letting players move on. One could say he has made a very succesfull job generally but if it hadn't have been for quotas etc and other reasons who would you, the fans, have kept if it had been possible and all things equal.
Me personally would have liked to see Mark O'Neil stay another year because his form towards the end of the 07 season was tremendous. Think JM did try to persuade him to stay but he thought the time was right to retire. Saying that we might have missed out on Ben Galaea who i think MO actually reccomended to the club.
Equally i would have kept Luke Dyer who had a tremendous season during our first year in season league.

In summary, HKR are made up of of a few overrated foreigners, a couple of Wigan rejects and a couple of blokes I have never heard of.
Saints by plenty, by miles even!

HKR are about as poor as it gets.
When referring to the atmosphere of the HJ...

Shame it doesn't keep the sound like the full east stand of HKR. That's atmosphere.

Ryan Tandy. I think im right in saying that Andy Ellis was released by Justin to. I know its a bit further back but i still think he had some development in him.

Barrow. He is the community development officer for that area to if im not mistaken. Im not saying he was a world beater by any stretch of the imagination but i thought ther was plenty of potential that working alongside someone like Ben Fisher could have been exposed.

Nah, sorry mate but he was ok at the level we were at and he is ok at Barrow. I will always be grateful to the lads who pulled the shirt on in the past for all they did, but if any of them were good enough we would have been in SL years ago. Since we have been in this flight there have been sparodic posts with mentions of 'if only we had kept' certain players, the likes of Hasty, Whetu, Ellis, Mansson etc. IMO none of those would have done us any good at all at this level.
We move on or die and thank god we have Hudge and Morgan in charge now.

Ryan Tandy did play at SL level and in my opinion held his own and is one the props we have had who could off load in the tackle. I would have prefered we kept him if we could over David Mills. Always gave 110per cent. and was good coming off the bench.
