You pay your money and can cheer or boo as a reflection of a poor performance, how else do the players know how you feel ?

why is abbreviation such a long word?

I think it was well over the top to be honest but people were frustrated. I guess it's a sign of how far we have come but I still can't agree with people reacting like that - especially as it's the only noise to come from a lot of people, there wasn't a lot of 'getting behind the boys' yesterday.

The crowd can be the 14th (or 18th) man but it's very quiet at the Galpharm and can't be an inspiration to the players.

It's a two way street though, isn't it. The crowd inspires ther players but the players need to give the crowd something to cheer. Knocking on every farts end and generally playing like a bunch of strangers doesn't really inspire anyone, does it. They got booed, they'll get over it.

If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.

Negative 'supporters' get right on my tits generally. I don't get where they are coming from - booing their team after getting beat. Where does the demand that we play well every week come from?

And do players *need* to know how the fans feel? Will they be thinking "oh, I bet the supporters are delighted that I knocked on there", no of course not, and they'll be more pisssed off with themselves than any supporter. What's important is the reaction of the coach and the players themselves. They'll let each other know when it's not good enough. The supporters job is to back the team and make the Galpharm a difficult place to play for the opposition team.

I would say if it was a close game and they nipped it in the end then there would have been no booing at all. It's only because they never turned up that they got the reaction from the crowd.

There were still people clapping at the end too.

People pay nigh on £20 to be entertained, they deserve some sort of commitment from the players

RL isnt a business of paying RL players, its a business of entertaining people.

I didnt boo and i dont particularly like hearing it but those that did did so because the players were not interested in winning that Rugby League game that these people had given up their time and money to watch and like has been said - be entertained.

many people left the game early because they had seen enough of these players just being on the field doing next to nothing.
hopefully the players will respond to it - they took the cheers and applause early in the season when they were bothering so now its only fair that they take the stick these same people are now giving them.

They got a boo from me at the hooter and then off I trotted. I'd normally hang around to clap them off but not yesterday, I had a pint glass to stare into forlornly for a few hours...

cant see any point at all in booing, didnt take long for some either when brown failed with penalty to touch, also thought the ironic cheers when he found touch on the next penalty didnt help matters.End of the day all teams have poor performances at some stage in the season lets hope thats our worst and we kick on again from here, roll on sunday.
