"Hell to pay", in what form?
The big problem is that people will still buy passes, people can bleat all they like, but when push comes to shove they will still part with their hard earned.

Well whoever it is Agar says that we already in discussions, lets just hope they are decent players and we get them tied up first.

I'm not so sure that would be the case this time around TBH. I just get the feeling that the reservoir of optimism that generally gets fans buying stuff even in hard times is exhausted.

The club simply must not allow us to be out bid on the best available halfback during this recruitment round. A top quality scrum half is/will be the most important signing for at least a decade as things stand right now. Should kimmorley and/or Orford come to the UK to play next season then one of them has to be playing for us otherwise I will join the ranks of those who say our club lacks the necessary ambition to be successful. As things stand I'm as confident as I can be that we will get one of these players should they be UK bound.

we are fast becoming the Newcastle Utd of the RL world...potentially a big club but total lack of ambition on the boards part ensures this won't be realised.
Let's hope (for once) we get what we want....

Exactly how I feel also.

If we ended up with Briers and wire signed Orford it would be a disgrace IMO, surely we've learnt from this season that us signing other teams cast offs whilst they sign top class players simply doesn't work. If Briers is no longer deemed good enough for wire he shouldn't be good enough for us, simple as.

Exactly, but the stickers won't come off the car, and no one else called Briers wanted it
If Orford and Kimmorley are both playing in SL next year and neither one of them is wearing black & white then I for one will be spending my friday nights at home.

Are we not being a bit arrogant in thinking that either, or both, would sign for us for definate if approached?
If it comes down to a choice between us and other SL sides why would they come to Hull, as opposed to Wigan,Warrington,Bradford,Leeds etc etc.
Crusaders may offer one of them huge money.
They might like the idea of calling the South of France "home".
There are a number of reasons why players wouldn't want to come to Hull.
