He has links over in Hull and would seem to fit the bill for the type of player you say you need. I can't see Hull throwing the name into the ring for him but as fans would you be happy if they did?

Thought Briers was on his way to Barrow next season?

Whilst I wouldn't claim for an instant that the first point makes him brilliant he has the skills necessary to play at SL level, and can perform those skills at a decent level on a consistent basis. He should be given the LF role with a ball playing mandate but I doubt that will happen.
can't see why we would be any less of an attraction, we have a lot of cap to spend, and have achieved more success than Warrington have this decade, play to bigger crowds in a better ground, the only advantage Wire have is that Tony Smith is a respected coach.

That could be the entire reason, look at what he did at leeds and he is slowly turning them around, another season there and they may actually turn into the top 4 side they expect to be with the money they have spent

And we are all entitled to our opinion, thats what the forum is for. But I have to say you must be the first person I have come across that doesn't rate him.

With Briers gone and the addition of Orford, Wire will be almost totally built around overseas players
"When Smith plays, Hull have to start as favourites."
