We won't build a team around him, but that doesn't mean he is surplus to requirements
Rather keep Whiting than G Horne & Radford.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Top post, Rich Whiting is one of our best players and would be one of the best in the league imo if he had a little bit of speed about him.

Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.
Quite sad, really!
SPOT ON!
I agree with that in part as whiting has done well . who would we have at full-back though if horney goes back to 6 ?
Tony. Preferrably I'd have Horney in at full back, coming into the line in attack (as of recent), however I don't think it would be fair to expect him to cover 2 positions week in week out, and I think it it would affect his game also. In an ideal world, I'd like to see us sign a 6 AND a 7 but we all now that's not going to happen.

He's a utility player, hasn't made a position his own, isn't fast enough, do I need to go on?
It's keeping mediocre players that has got us where we are.

Whiting is in no way mediocre, he is a very gifted and skillful player and is not as slow as people make out and having him on the field is bringing the best out of Calderwood too.
