Sheffield came with a game plan, that was to get stuck early doors, lie a couple of yards off-side and get into our forwards faces before we could gain any momentum going forward. Many may say they were spoiling tactics, however they played to their strengths and we allowed them to get the the ball out wide. Our defence was poor on the right hand side and always looked like they had the pace on the edges.Sheffield were the better team on the day and lets look forward to Donny on thursday.

Good luck to Sheffield

Common Fax,and show we are the best in this league. :D :D

Dana Wilson was not the same player as last week, one of his runs returning a drop out was embarassing to watch, he looked like an old Diesel engine that was about to blow up.

True but he but he put some big hits in when everyone else looked dead on their feet. I thought (and I understand I was probably watching a different match judging by what everyone else has said) Worrincy was pretty rubbish. Not great in making tackles when it counted, creating gaps but then running in to the defender, and running sideways instead of forwards. Not to bash the lad, pretty much everyone was rubbish, it's just what I noticed.

Today, thought Matt was more interested in trying to smash the oppo rather than tackle him. Far too many times he just bounced off the player & they were able to either make more metres or off load.

Granted it wasnt just Matt James, but they all needed to tackle the player rather than just aim for the big hit.

supporting Halifax through thick & thin!

They did up to about 60 minutes then I thought we got about even with them.
Come on this was the annual Sheffield getting better game and lets hope they do what they did today against Barrow and others.
Come on Sheffield you have raised your standards by beating us, lets see you do it against the other top 4 teams - please.

I agre with TopTackler, the biggest disapointment for me today was the performance of our front row. Not one of our props really set a platform although to be fair at laest Dana was looking for the drive and a quick ptb, the rest for me were ineffective and lateral in their movement. Too many attempts at "the big hit" and not enough genuine graft :(

Is Gleeson injured? If he was just rested it was a mistake as he is by far the best player at the club!!! Missed him badly today.
