If I was playing for Wigan and my hometown club Warrington came in with a decent offer that suited all parties I'd go for it so I won't be booing him. Thanks for your efforts Martin in a Wire shirt but its time to move on.

You don't think it's childish to want to shout 'Judas' and 'Turncoat' to a professional sportsman?

I quite agree...........so i'll be shouting it then
Remember Higham and Mathers were not wanted by the pies and each of them wanted a secure future playing at Wigan, who move them on....
Whereas Gleeson has been sounding the horn for a long time that he wants out off our club......wish granted.

Why is it, its just part of the game. Moving to a rival club in these circumstances hasn't exactly endeared him to the Wire faithful.
It wasn't as if we desperately needed the money like with Harris and Sculthorpe, with Gleeson it was a case of get him out of the club because he doesn't want to be here. I for one will be giving him some stick on Friday, and expect most of the crowd to be doing the same.

He plays for the Pies, therefore he is now pond scum.
The fact that he once played for us is irrelevant.
"The Warrington people hadn't had success for a few years, but there's no speccy in the world as good. They are very knowledgeable and appreciative of hard work. What they like is honesty. They want the team to try; if they fail they fail, but they expect honesty. They know when players don't put it in."
