winning like never before. decoys. mouse traps. chicken wings. lollie pops. shepperds. the crusher. grapples. big league. In 1935 The Dragon Slayers as they were known defeated Canterbury bulldogs 91-6, which is still the biggest win in the Club's History. In 1907, the St George district had a club in the Sydney rugby union competition. Interestingly, the team's area was referred to as the 'Illawarra suburbs'. A resolution to form a St George rugby league club was made at a local meeting held in early 1908, but the movement faltered and collapsed. St George, wearing the district colours of red and white, played in the NSWRL's Third Grade competition in 1910, and formed a President's Cup team in 1911. References were found at the time to district teams being called 'The Saints'.the perfect 11

Leeds have played Canterbury Bulldogs, Melbourne Storm and Manley Sea Eagles in world club challenge. We of course played a few on the 1997 tournament over here as well.

does. this. help.

Unlikely to help given the question asked.

And the 1997 tournament was held in both hemispheres not just over here.

1962 tour

18/07/1962 St George. GB won 33-5

1984 tour

30/05/1984 North Sydney. GB won 14-8

1992 tour

06/06/1992 Canberra Raiders. GB won 24-12
08/06/1992 Illawarra Steelers. GB won 11-10
19/06/1992 Parramatta. GB lost 16-22

I'm sure Great Britain also played the Knights up in Newcastle as a warm up to the '92 Test Series, and former Wigan prop Ian Lucas had his head knocked off his shoulders by Paul 'Chief' Harrogan. Think he broke his neck and effectively ended his career. I saw Lucas about 12/13 years back on the terraces at the Willows for an Academy match, and asked him about it. He said he didn't hold a grudge but I reckon I would have - poor bugger!
