Greetings from Leigh.

I am the programme editor for 'The Centurion', matchday magazine of Leigh Centurions. For each home game, we have been inviting an opposition supporter, to write an article in our programme.

Do we have any volunteers, from the North East?

Any particular content required?

Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.

I always leave the content to the writer - as long as it is RL-related. We already do a feature on the opposition squad/history, and that is already in hand for the Thunder game. However, it is always of interest to hear how fans view their club/team, (especially one from outside the 'heartlands') or the Championship, or RL in general. Humour is great, but not compulsory!

I find that 500-600 words, plus a couple of photos, fill a page nicely, but if the author hasn't got photos, that's not a problem, as I can always get hold of some. Our deadline is the Monday before the game, (emailed to me) which in this case, would be Monday 8th June.

Hope that helps?

Cheers,

Alan Edge

I see all the Leigh fans' bitter drivel towards Hull KR in 2006 as come back to bite them!

Looking at your avatar I think you have ' issues ' you need to speak to somebody about

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Got that little gem from an FC fan off an old thread back when Paul Cooke switched over the river.

I hope we get you in the CC next year and put 70 on you!

I've no problem with the vast majority of Rovers fans , never had anything but good experiences with them

But every club has it's numpty's as you prove

Nope, just like to remind you all that you're not as good as you think you are - if you hadn't been so arrogant at the start of of the 2006 season than I would have a different attitude.
