Reason?

1. Because he's got no pride in his city. (So I'd suppose the same would count for his country in that he's wish England football not to have success).

2. He feels, as a rugby league supporter, somehow threatened by a team from another sport having a period of success.

If you're not interested in football, then just don't comment. The revenue and extra publicity of another one of OUR city's teams in the top flight (hopefully) is both needed and welcome.

Could go either way next week (in terms of both matches) but there's more pressure on Newcastle, let's hope City stay up...

I think he meant he wants Newcastle to go down (check the quote and the bold bit).

A weak United side may still beat City quite easily.

The only name certain to be on United's teamsheet is Darren Fletcher, the rest well like P Brown has said, he could name 2 or 3 teams.

In summary, HKR are made up of of a few overrated foreigners, a couple of Wigan rejects and a couple of blokes I have never heard of.

Saints by plenty, by miles even!

HKR are about as poor as it gets.

Shame it doesn't keep the sound like the full east stand of HKR. That's atmosphere.

If I'm honest, yes. :SHIFTY: Have been criticised by mates for this, but have supported Newcastle (and Rovers) for 15 years, and so in that time have just never felt any connection to City like I do for the other two. I think them ground sharing with Hull probably hasn't helped, and so I just wouldn't feel any real emotion if they went down, whereas I would with Newcastle.
