We are steadily increasing our support but at a painfully slow rate. I have supported Fax all my life through good times and bad and I can state quite categorically that, if a promotion place was the prize for winning the grand final (or finishing at the top of the league as it should really be), we would be packing them in at a much more substantial rate.
Sadly this was always going to be the case with franchising. Shame the RFL didn,t take this into account when embarking on this what is after all a big risk to the professional game.
Crowds in Non Relegation League will suffer too. We have to hope franchising is scrapped sooner rather than later. Supporters of Championship clubs know that Toulouse will be a shoe in if it continues.
Club chairman need to have a word with the instigator of this idea, and that guy incidentally thinks youth development is better in Bridgend than where the sport is primarily played.
