I also said someone like R Horne if you could read properely: a player who can cover any position in the back line - ideally i would put leyon pryce on the bench and start with a different stand off
Good to have these players in tour squads, but when you pick your starting 17 for a test match you want the best you have in their specialist positions, Horne is not as good a full back as Briscoe or Wellens. Stick him on the bench and you might be right.
Call me old fashioned, but a test side should have a fullback, scrum half and hooker who ARE full backs, scrum halves and hookers.
