Exactly. If Hull are doing so well off the field etc as JR keeps telling us then why aren't they prepared to offer some money to attract top drawer players. If Huddersfield can attract and and pay for these players then something is seriously wrong with our club with regards to player recruitment or ambition of the club.

If that pans out to be the case then you are entirely correct. However none of us know what is happening behind the scenes and it is too early to start criticising yet. All we have is some newspaper speculation. We may be in for someone else for example. Our recruitment has showed signs of improvement with Crocker and Lauaki, we need to give Hull more time to see what happens with regard to next season.

Don't be silly. Far better to jump up and down waving our arms and moaning at the first sign of any other club signing someone. Or even speculation that they might be.

I agree with that but our retention of players has not got any better this season as someone decided to give captain fantastic another year before we had even thought about the first game !!!!
Now that is not only baffling but it is also very concerning to me that Radford seems to be an integral part of Agar's new and improved squad.

Its not that at all, just an opinion based on previous history when we haved failed to sign a top quality player for a position we have been in need of since Jason Smith & Casper left, then end up having to sign what's left. When you look at our quota spots over the past few seasons can you honestly say we have used these well or wisely? I can't.

Crocker - yes
Swain - yes
Kearney - yes
Berrigan - undecided
Domic - no
Cusack - no
Byrne - no
Dykes - no
Sing - no
Blacklock - no
I'm probably missing a couple but you're right in saying we haven't used our quota spots as well as a lot of other teams have

The team haven't used the quota players well. It's not that they weren't good players that were signed. Both Sing and Blacklock were stars in Aus who were left high and dry by the teams tactics of not passing to them. In another team (Saints?) they would have been legends
Cusack I would give a yes to at the moment. Not a big name (I'd not heard of him before ) but a solid player and the type we need.
I suppose some people will only be happy if we sign Inglis, Folau, Smith etc, and then we won't use them effectively. If the next quota signing doesn't win us a trophy and or score a hat trick in every game he'll be a wast of a spot.

Think that was the main word here. sadly, they were too old when we signed them and past their best
