The far best winger in the superleague (Fox) not like you didnt know didnt get announced after many of your fans creaming there pants of the though of him and S.Briscoe in the squad.
Bit concerned from the 19 dont get me wrong.. were is the full back??

Wake up son, it's not the final squad. It's an initial 17 Smith wants to work with first and none of them are guaranteed a place against France. Apart from the fact he's actually said as much, it's not difficult to work out is it?

It's the 17 players who he see's at the moment as the best 17 players to play for England now and in the near future, hence the name 'Elite'.

It isn't a squad, that is clear now - it is a (first) group of elite players. They will form a core, from which teams are selected, with Lee Smith, Ade Gardener and a few more no-mark Wire players drafted in to make up the numbers when nobody is looking.

No it's the initial 17 of the elite training squad. There's no wingers or fullbacks, so I'm sure there'll be more other than that 17 who will regularly play for england 'now and in the near future'.
