GEiEG win the Girona derby with a hard fought win over the Garrotxa. Great game to watch as these lads are finding their rugby league feet. Some of the tries were very good and the noises coming out of most camps today were very positive.

The final of the first Catalan rugby league championship will take place this Sunday, 7th June, at 12.45 at the rugby stadium of Cornellà (Ave. Baix Llobregat s/n, corner with carrer Rugby). The Barcelona University Club (BUC) and CR Sant Cugat will compete for the title.

Beforehand there will be the match for third and fourth place between GEiEG of Girona and CE INEF Lleida, at 11.00.

3rd and 4th place deciders always bring in the crowds.

I've heard a rumour there could be up to 15 people at the game. My concern is whether there'll be enough stewards to manage a crowd of that enormity.

About the crowds the Birmingham Bulldogs got when they were last in NL3, draft 'em into SL I say!

Got a message from my mate, the captian of GEiEG asking if I wanted to travel with them to Barcelona for the game on the 20th June.
There are 20 of them so far and they're getting a bus.
Still don't know the result from this morning, but I fancy GEiEG to get the better of Lleida.
There was a little in the paper yesterday and today but it's all USAP.
