A great gesture, and the first line of the first post in this thread says it all for me.

If we didn't have a match this Sunday at Fax I would be there myself.....although I would have to wear an Eagles shirt so you lot probably wouldn't want me there anyway

I sincerely hope things aren't as bad as they currently appear. There is a lot of support for your club out there ..... I supect that also includes a few Seagulls' fans 8)

Good luck!

Well he could do but as a Halifax supporter I would think the call for the rugby community to attend would be more apropriate coming from a Donny supporter .When my own club was in trouble 2 /3 yrs ago I did just that ,thankfully many supporters turned up from other clubs and we have been very gratful. If we were not playing at home Sunday I would be there myself ,instead we are trying to see if a group of us can get down in July .
As long as that is ok with you of course.

Well yes I don`t mind but it`s better it`s from the Dons.

Fantastic offer from Fev, have posted this thread on my teams board (Cas) to try to get some interest.

I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

Kumquat.

Saw this on my teams board (cas). Think it is a great thing for Fev to do, and as we are playing on Friday I will be there on Sunday to support it.

Maybe it's worth switching one of your home matches to a Saturday so more people can come down?

The latest press release is :-

Rovers Support the “Rugby League Family”

Featherstone Rovers have released details of a ticketing initiative to be implemented at this Sunday's home game with Doncaster Dons that they hope will raise some much needed funds for their South Yorkshire neighbours, who themselves are taking drastic action to ensure the financial future of the club. Featherstone are inviting Season Ticket holders from any other Rugby League club to attend Sunday's game at The Chris Moyles stadium between the two clubs and upon payment of the standard £14 entry and presentation of their own season ticket at a dedicated turnstile, Rovers will donate 50% of the entry fee back to the Doncaster club.

Andy Prout – Rovers Chief Executive stated:-

"It is a very challenging economic and financial time for all clubs, but it is particularly sad that having achieved promotion from division two last year, Doncaster are now facing tough times both on and off the field, and it is times like this that the Rugby League community must pull together for the long term sustainability of the game.

Whilst only a small gesture we at Featherstone Rovers are pleased to be able to make this offer available and hope to be able to provide some form of financial assistance on the back of people watching rugby league at this level, so we are asking all season ticket holders and “true” Rugby League fans show their support for Doncaster in this difficult time. "
