They didn't want to give it to a diver who sets a bad example to the kiddies.

Lord God Jose Mourinho wrote:Getting more league points than Benitez in the league, plus knocking Benitez's side out of the CL, as well as reaching the FA Cup final after beating a side obviously superior side to the one who dispatched Liverpool = significantly better.

A whole 2 points more, and you seem to conveniently be ignoring the fact that Everton also knocked Man Utd, so have in fact removed both the 1st and 2nd placed team in the country from the competition. Significantly better only because it suits your argument/viewpoint.

Lord God Jose Mourinho wrote:You, and others, are now classing Chelsea's players as a better crop of players? Must have missed all the new judgements on "Fat Frank" and the over-rated John Terry amid all the to55ing off over Gerrard, Torres, Alonso etc.

Gerrard and Torres are better than anything Chelsea have IMO. However, that doesn't mean they have a better collection of players. It's not difficult to understand, Chelsea have a squad that is better equipped to mount a serious title bid because they have more depth, Liverpool simply outperformed you by being consistently able to win ugly when they had to. That's mainly down to Benitiez's tactics IMO.

Lord God Jose Mourinho wrote:Are you saying the best, most consistant left back in the league isn't "whatshisname", the Liverpool left back?

Try reading the thread, you'll see I've already pretty much said that very thing to Keith. Possibly the most consistent, but I still think he's far from the best.

Robbie Rotten wrote:Different people have different opinion's. Somebody else may say we have a better squad, but he thinks Chelsea do. I'd say your squad value is higher than ours so it's quite likely your squad will be better, or at least stronger in terms of depth.

My main gripe with Hiddink being second in manager of the year is because he's only been here half a year. Other manager's have had a full season with their sides, yet they've still managed to get to a cup final and they've still managed to punch kind of above their weight in the league. Moyes has been excellent at Everton and although it's over-achieving on their budget, it's quite clear they're a good side and aren't that far from challenging for 4th place. I think his job, over the full course of the season, is more deserving of second place over Hiddink.

I just don't think Hiddink has done anything special since coming in, he's a caretaker manager of one of the strongest sides in the world, I think a lot of manager's could have gained similar results with a side like Chelsea's, maybe not Alan Shearer

Spot on on all points.

Lord God Jose Mourinho wrote:People say that with the squad Chelsea have anyone could be successful. But Claudio Ranieri didn't win anything. Avram Grant didn't win anything. Phil Scolari wouldn't have won anything if Chelsea hadn't shown him the door. And with that squad which anyone could have won things with, those managers managed to get knocked out of cups by Barnsley and Burnley.

Hiddink has come in to Chelsea and knocked out Liverpool from the Champions League. That's the same Liverpool side who beat Chelsea twice in the league. He's knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup. That's the Arsenal who half the people on here reckon have the best manager in the Premier League. He also tactically destroyed Barcelona in the Champions League. He's not nicking points off West Brom and Hull City like Hodgson, Redknapp and Moyes have done, he's gone up against the biggest sides in Europe.

fact is.................liverpool are second in the league, chelsea are third, barcelona are in the champions league final, chelsea are not.....................but don't let fact cloud your delusional thinking!!!!!!

Gerrard thoroughly deserves his POTY award. Just think, if he had played every game this season we would have won the big one..............

Benitez would have finished 2nd in LGJM's top 5 managers!

What an achievement that might have been.

Did you watch the video? He's giddy with excitement at the prospect of United coming to visit. He's gushing with praise over Ferguson and virtually offering his manager to United whenever Ferguson retires.

I'm pretty sure u were moaning this time last year when West Ham 'rolled over' for Utd...get a grip man, games are not decided on one team 'rolling over'.

He does still go to every game at the KC as he uses the helipad at my work on game days.

Yeah, I've still been seeing him there, just not the car. Thought maybe he'd got rid of it or something. There's been an Audi in his parking space the past few months, thought maybe the recession had got hold of him.
