Don't hold back, say what you mean.

Geovanni was too inconsistent even for Man City, and they wrote the manual. :)

By plenty. At least.

You'd think if you'd seen enough of him to endorse him being the best player in his position in the league, you wouldn't really need to do a name-check.

Liverpool weren't expected to finish in the top 2, Chelsea were. Chelsea were expected to win trophy. So by your own logic, Hiddink has only done what he should have done whilst Benitez has overperformed. That earns Benitez a higher place in the eyes of most but Chelsea fans.

Now where do you want to shift the goalposts to?

When Hiddink took over at Chelsea Chelsea were still expected to win trophies? **** off! When Hiddink took over it was being predicted that Aston Villa would take Chelsea's place in the top 4.

I've just completed the picture a bit. Hull City blew it with the January transfer window IMO.

What would be the point of bringing him in then? too finish in the top 4?

There's are exactly zero reasons why Chelsea were less capable of winning a cup competition at the time he took over than at the start of the season. And IIRC, Man Utd were league favourites before the start of the season, so that wasn't expected. You seem to think Hiddink has worked near miracles. He came in to coach a team packed with world class players with a recent history of winning things and got results. That's it.

Exactly. Seeing as he was never, ever going to consider the job on a permanent basis, there would be no reason at all to bring him in for the short term unless you thought it would change your chances of winning a trophy.

That's funny, since hiddink came, you were saying Chelsea would finish above Liverpool and win the Champs League.
