It was never ever going to be a loud vocal support on sunday, and it never is for games like that; regardless of whos playing.
How can you say we let the players down? We paid good money to see them play rugby.... and they expected to to turn up and just win. If anything the players let the fans down by not producing good rugby - they get paid to play, we pay to watch.
whoaaah there, lets not start bitching, all that matters is that they got a result, it does not matter whether you win by 1pt or 50pts all that matters is winning, and with so many changes to personel it was bound to be a disjointed performance.

There weren't that many changes, and if we'd played with any commitment we should have closed that game out by half time. No disrespect to Sheffield.

ok lets just go through the list of personnel changes matey and just go through the first team regs that was not playing yesterday....
fozzard,,,vella,,,murrell,,,colbon,,,,aizue
and then we have others like lovegrove, walker and cockayne all of which are or have been in starting 17`s this season.
and to be quite honest with these 8 players absent i thought that the bit part players did quite well, also bear in mind that our stand out player(ben galea) of the last couple of games did not come off the bench until midway in the second half.....so all in all it was job done

Fozzard - injured therefore not available
Vella - see above
Murrell - see above
Colbon - pulled out as a precaution after problem in warm up
Aizue - injured therefore not available.
Rovers virtually put out their strongest AVAILABLE side and were ran close by a very spirited, but ultimately limited Sheffield side. I'm not gonna excuse what was a poor performance. The attitude (Stan aside) was poor throughout the team and thats why they nearly got embarrassed.
I'm sure it will provide a kick up the jacksy in time for Friday.

Ok, let's go through the list of our players with no Super League experience:
F. Mariano
I'm all for cutting our guys some slack when it's merited, but in this case it's not. Hopefully it will give us a kick up the pants to improve drastically against Wigan. We'll need to.
