Sam Tomkins is charged with a Cat B offence for lashing out at Sculthorpe in the TV game.

Whilst I appreciate the decision on the severity of the charge isn't sorted until tomorrow and then after any possible appeal do you not think that the referees are using these match reviews to escape any contentious decisions?

Surely if the ref saw the incident as this severe then Tomkins should have been marched for either 10minutes or red carded which would have had an impact on the overall game and possibly the result.

This season we have seen no red cards after almost 100 games, last season we saw one approximately every 12 games.

I just get the impression the refs are avoiding making the decisions and leaving it for the panel to sort which lets the team effectively get away without serious punishment.

It did look bad thats for sure, but players are always kicking out in the tackle, but I cant even remember when someone was last penalised for it.

Miles Greenwood for something Robert Hicks allegedly saw when fax played Doncaster a couple of weeks ago and Red Carded him. Even Doncaster players said there was nothing but Hicks would not listen. The RFL said later nothing to answer for at all-Well done Hicks!

was a shocker, and could easily have walked had it been a stronger referee (Ganson??). Massively dangerous and could have easily blinded the opposition player.

A rhino's fan! I remember Smith deliberately kicking out against Wigan last year. He was found guilty but not suspended and starred in the final.
