A couple of mis-quotes there. Matt never said "we are easily the best team in this league". And Yorkshire lacking humility...Matt is from Widnes. After 10 years of absolute turd at fax, we are more than humble.
The politicians diatribe was nothing to do with the club, you know that. Dont interpret fact to suit your conclusion.
The confidence we have is that we are for the first time in years, enjoying watching fax play, and enjoying rather than enduring being a fax fan. Who would begrudge us that...surely not begruding lancastrians?
Is not that we are winning - its how we are playing, and the togetherness of the whole club.
Sorry Mr Wizzard but you obviously haven't read todays LGEXPRESS which is a Yorkshire Publication by the way
"We didn't suprise ourselves with how we played. We're the best team in our league by a country mille, and this team is not far off SL"
Thats what he said Old Big ED!
Well they are the best side, although Toulouse away will be interesting, but they have the best players this year and it amazes me they stay under the cap as their gates are on par with ours.
That garbage about put them in SL now, did them no favours and their is a fine line between confident and cocky.
They should win the NRC and GF but you never know, didnt we beat a SL club, run another very close and batter all before us before imploding one season??
Good point was thinking the same myself. It will be interesting to see if they can keep their form going or have peaked to early.

I've heard from some MP's that Halifax have asked if they can become a country of there own right and stop Australia and NZ total dominence of the Rugby League World Cup by winning it themselves and next season they are odds on [by William Hill] to win everything including all 3 divisions, Challenge Cup and the NRC........

I personally agree with some of you that some of our fans are getting a bit over excited about our chances. A couple injuries to key players and it could send our season t!ts up!
We need to keep our feet on the ground.
Although the brand of rugby that we play is definately something to get excited about and I don't care about not keeping my feet on the ground on that aspect.

I believe all Fax fans are excited and why not ? It`s nice to go and watch exciting free flowing rugby for a change not the dire one man 5 passes and a kick that we`ve had for years. For the fans who have stuck by our club when all the rubish was going on I salute them and if they want to get excited and even over excited then good on you.

So that's who we are modelling our 'style' on!
Seriously though, when we've had this debate on our forum, about exciting rugby, and winning rugby, the conclusion always seems to have been that you can have one, or the other, but not both! Nice to see that they can go hand in hand!

We in Yawksheer (as you put it), are so humble, that after years of thrashing you in the "Wars of the Roses" only ending by one of your lot marrying the rightfull heir from "Yawksheer" , to save your county from being wiped of the map, and becoming a satalite of "Yawrksheer" ,like "Todmoordoom". We have to settle for a "White Rose" stained by the blood of your forefathers as the "National Flower of England".Do'nt preach humility to a"YORKSHIRE MAN". Keep your powder dry you might need it to fight of the "Wigoon hoards" on your door stop.
Keep smileing we might both just manage to scrape into Sooopeerr League by the turn of the next century.

NO we were drawing but someone from a place called Red Hall rode into the middle of the fight said the rules had changed during the battle, it would be decided by a golden punt which would be the union of the two sides in marriage.
By the way the person who rode in was not Nigel Wood as there were RSPCA represented on the field of battle.Well that is the story handed down through generation anyway.
