... if only we had beaten Gateshead in the Challenge Cup it could have been St Helens at the Keepmoat in the Quarter Final (assuming we had also beaten Oldham). What could have been.

Quarter Final Draw ...

Hull KR V Warrington Wolves
Huddersfield Giants v Castleford Tigers
Gateshead Thunder v St Helens
Wigan Warriors v Salford City Reds

Wouldn't have done much good if they had brought BENT haler to ref.How can commentators say he had a good game but say he made some glaring mistakes that led to tries

To be fair, those commentators don't know half of the rules!

Gateshead getting a nice little lucrative cup game is another nail in our coffin.....plus we should have been taking 3 points off Batley today.
They couldn't be much worse than at the moment....they can only get better.
You couldn't write a worst script than what is happening to the Dons.
Circumstances are not very kind when your luck is out.

To be fair that's not really how draws work...but I get your point

To be honest it was Jonathan Davies and Ray French who were spouting nonsense!

I think you are both correct as French and Davies and Noble and Kear both agreed in their summaries after the match I think it is Thaler who should learn the rules as he is the worst of the 'Professional' refs by far[/quote]
