Iv just looked it up on wikipedia and found this a tad harsh but made me chuckle

"Since suffering relegation from the third to the fourth tier in 1974, they have spent the past 35 years in the English leagues basement division; longer than any other club in the division. It is therefore fair to claim that Rochdale are the worst professional football club in England."

I did want Shrewsbury to go up but the way their goalie behaved in the shoot-out I hope they get beat now. How old is he? 12? What a pratt!
Ideally he'll drop one in his own net in the 95th minute!
Also the Gills fans singing about 'Northern slums' was ironic given they were voted the biggest dump by an Observer poll of football fans a while back. It's a nightmare to get to as well so hopefully they go up. They won't be missed.

Because no other keepers have ever played mind games with the opposition players. A penalty kick is a a situation hugely weighted in favour of the taker and so anything the keeper does to try and save the penalty (as long as its within the rules) is fine by me.

Dagenham fan here. Superb season for us, was so gutting on the last day against the Shrews but I'd of settled for 8th at the start of the season! But I think this will be our best EVER season, lots of players out of contract etc. Mid-Table mediocrity beckons!

Hey mate, Shrews fan I am, nice club are the Daggers. Didnt think we would beat you last game of the season but happy that we did obviously. You have a good setup down there and a decent manager, hope you dont lose too many players.

Mind games?

He kicked the ball away when the bloke went to pick it up. If the ref had any balls he'd have booked the gloit!

Booked him for what? Kicking the ball closer to the penalty spot? Did you not see the game, he already sent off Leslie for one of the most innocuous challenges you will see.

Ungentlemanly conduct! Also having a player dismissed does not preclude a team from having other players disciplined.
COME ON YOU GILLS! :P

So "professional" clubs Rushden. Kidderminster, Torquay, Maidstone. York. Aldershot, Cambridge. Scarborough, Halifax etc are better than Rochdale?????

Very harsh I'd say....at least they have never been relegated out of the league and infact in all those years have not had that many narrow escapes.
