from the warm up you lot looked keen enough, but it was that coloured lad (sorry don't know his name ) that ripped your defense apart as soon as he came on, two corking tries
stanley rangers under 11s are playing tomorrow at home down at the school, kick off 10-30 playing against hunslet warriors, as I had mention earlier on another thread the lads will be playing in their normal kit instead of the pink one.
I would like to be there but will be on my merry way to edinbro so good luck lads and I hope they put a good game as last week but get the result

forgot to post yesterday match stanley under 11s was up against a strong featherston lions who hasn't lost up to date,
the score was 24 - 6 to the lions but it was an impressive start to the game kept it close and was some time before they manage to breach our defensive line, on our attack it was again impressive to see them utilize the ball to full shipping it to the wings, having lost before and seeing them with their heads down it was nice to see some grit and determination to score, whether this had anything to do with the pink strip that they wore for the first time who knows, but all parents expressed how proud they was of them
away at oulton raiders next week
Stanley rangers 8s toughed it out on sunday at stanningley just 24 hrs after player the curtain raiser for the NCL Grand final at featherstone .
the 8s sporting the new pink kit made huge strides against 2 very good teams and although they lost out on both occasions the lads heads never once went down.
meanwhile the 9s were back on form against a very well organized crigglestone side coming back from 24-10 down to nick it 26-24 with a pressure conversion at the death.
The 9s have recently seen the other side of the coin with their first 2 defeats of the season but achieved the goal off beating one off the targeted sides . Im sure Richard n Phil are very happy with the way the stand off system worked after a few weeks of perseverance . i did not see the match today but my lad thought the last 10 minutes was probably the best 10 minutes they have played all year.
as for me well i know wakey got knocked out this weekend but every cloud n all that

dissapointed from a crigg perspective - but have to say well done to the Stanley lads for their never say die attitude . In particular the lad at half back ( no1 - sorry can't remember his name ) had a great game. Just like to say thanks for the warm welcome and the hot dogs at the pitch side - hope the gala was a huge success .
Don't think our lads were too downhearted , it was a great game all round .

the lad at 1 stepped in at s/o for the regular lad he does have that natural ability and a great turn off speed.

its a shame the 2 teams only meet once this time , can see a bit of a healthy rivalary emerging between the 2 sides that will carry on trough the age groups.

Absolutely ! Just hope we don't get dropped down by the league at the end of the year . The lads always play well but seem to run out of steam in the second half, seem to lose by a couple of points a lot lately . Derby games , even at this age , add a bit more spice to things and the Stanley lads were chuffed to bits when that winning kick went over . Pleased with our lads though, no one sulked , all shook hands and that hasn't happened at a few places when we've won , believe me !
