FC were poop!

They played King, Moa and Maloney and ploughed up the middle all game - no attacking flair, no skill, just a few 1st team front-rowers being flat-track bullies.

MOTM was Scott Taylor who looks the real deal. Esders showed a lot of tenacity and Spaven marshalled things from dummy-half.

All in all Rovers played really well with some excellent attacking play but were eventually undone by FC's front-row.

How did our academy players do for the reserves tonight .....the ones held back from last nights game. ?

Taylor was MOTM. Who was the other one?

Thats rubbish Hull where the better side, they should have won by more.

Thought Esders was avearge apart from one good run, Spaven and taylor where very good though.

Hull played a basic game first half, but threw the ball about alot more in the 2nd half.

the score doesnt really matter there where plus points for both teams.

Agree but what is the point of playing a one-dimensional game plan (like your 1st team) routed through experience 1st teamers in the front-row?

Aren't you in the least bit worried about what is being served in terms of your club's style of rugby at all grades? - Both U18's and the Reserves were almost a mirror image of how each clubs respective 1st teams play and that is bad news for FC IMO.

Wasn't Gay playing as well ?

The reason the big boys were playing Zod was to improve their fitness... obviously the lack of first team game this weekend
led to the concept of playing them in the Reserve fixture...
