Here's a list of who I think we'd do well to keep hold of and who should be binned!

Out of current bunch I’d only like to see us keep –

All the widnes lads & Flynn (Young talented players and play with passion) [7]
A. Thackery (Yes needs to pass the flippin thing more but at least he puts effort in and can defend decent enough!)
G. Dodd (his commitment is twice that of a lot of others, error prone but can also score great tries and pretty strong in the tackle)
I. Morrison (Big loss this year so far, great strong runner and hard in defence!)
L. Patterson (Not the most gifted but plays hard and can create / score a few in this league)
D. Gaskell (player of the year last two seasons! Always beats 1st man!)
J. Duffy (Plays hard, knows the league and puts effort in at least!)
R. Fletcher (Needs to shed a few pounds but is a fantastic player and would be SL quality if fitness was spot on!)
S. Bannister (Looked good so far, no doubt we’ll train it out of him!)
Thompson & Kavanagh (Young talented props, with the right training would be usefull, run hard at least!)
J. Gannon (Bit of experience in the pack does a job but that’s about it!)
S. Tyrer 9The lad has quality but needs to get settled in a team now, and sort kicking :S)
B. Robinson (Looked good and entusiastic and would fight for a place i'm sure!)

That’s about it 19 / 28! Who should stay! (Not all starters!)

? on Mark Smith, his form has dropped and he doesn’t look happy out there anymore and maybe coming stale – the next Bob Beswick? Also not seen enough of Danny Mills yet!

So we need more palyers who cba really!

In all honesty is there any point in this ?

I dont doubt the effort of any of the squad.

Some arent good enough though and that includes some of those on your wish list.

Dodd
Gannon
Fletcher (too injury prone)

Release

Mark Smith - i was one of his biggest fans but he's the highest paid player and isnt performing

James Webster - we need someone a little younger who can take on the line and has speed.

Toa Kohe Love - Great on his day but the clock is winding down

Lee Doran - Not good at all

Sam Thompson - Amazed how he played for Saints, lacks any real aggression.

Jim Gannon - Fantastic worker but his age is catching up to him and we need bigger front rowers. Bit harsh i know but he's getting on.

Brett Robinson - Doesnt do it for me and cant see him staying on

Tim Hartley - Mr injury

Danny Mills - Wasted signing really

I doubt that will happen but if it somehow did we would have mega cash to play with and still be able to keep the core of a very good squad.

Love a brew.

HISTORY IS LITTERED WITH UNTHRUTH'S:

I CAN ASSURE YOU THERE IS NOT A HURRICANE ON IT'S WAY TO BRITAIN............MICHAEL FISH (BBC WEATHERMAN).

I DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH THAT WOMAN..............BILL CLINTON (PRESIDENT OF THE U.S.A).

OUR STADIUM WILL BE READY FOR THE 2010 SEASON................JOHN WILKINSON (SALFORD CHAIRMAN).

ARE PRIME EXAMPLES.........

We put Bob in the oven for 10 minutes - 180c. He's risen like a fresh loaf.

The one thing i will say about God Smith. Did you see his reaction last night late on when he had the ball ripped out and ref gave a knock on? He was devastated. You could see the passion in his eyes. None of your other players show that. He's playing behind a beaten pack.

Come again?

On Smith I don't doubt he's trying but he looks a bit lost and doesn't seem to have a bond with any of the other players which isn't to great! When we conceed / knock on / force an error everyone just trots back to line / scrum no reel questions being asked of the side!

I still think he is trying to do too much and needs to be spelled. Smithy playing for 2 x 20 mins could be awesome in this division still but he needs a capable hooking partner

Quote:James Webster - we need someone a little younger who can take on the line and has speed.
Give him a couple more games.. If he plays a couple more times like he did last night then I think he might.. just might turn our season around if we can get the players to ably support him.
Quote:Toa Kohe Love - Great on his day but the clock is winding down
Lee Doran - Not good at all

Still not convinced that Doran can't perform.. who knows the change in training might well benefit this guy.
Quote:Sam Thompson - Amazed how he played for Saints, lacks any real aggression.

Quote:Jim Gannon - Fantastic worker but his age is catching up to him and we need bigger front rowers. Bit harsh i know but he's getting on.
Not been a fan of Gannon up until this season, but I think he is standing up well. Needs the players to back him up like Moran used to. Old head in the middle of the park and it is noticeable when he goes off.

Quote:Brett Robinson - Doesnt do it for me and cant see him staying on
Tim Hartley - Mr injury

Fair enuff

Quote:Danny Mills - Wasted signing really
Not seen enough of him yet to make any judgement

Scrap the Cap!!! The Campaign starts now!!

the reason i think why Mark Smith isn't coming into his game is that he seems to be taking the majority of the blame for the team loosing.
it must be very fustrating for someone in his position.
