2 things can improve our crowds:

1) money to market the club and pay for a couple of superstars
2) a squad with some genuine home grown international quality players

we finally have 1 of the two so i think our crowds should improve slightly, but i fear that without the second we'll never get near the 7k+ mark of respectability. So we need to win trophies or find a rich benefactor to get some money in.

Because on field success is not something any club can guarantee

Marketing has to be the no 1 priority for all clubs , especially those that are not at the moment paying their way [ not a dig at any club , but quite simply facts of life , a sport with a salary cap gives every club a target to aim for with regards earned income ]

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

No, but IMO Quins could literally have only one man and his dog attending SL home games and the RFL would still always grant you a place. Just my opinion.

the negativity of some quin fans is astounding, in the past i have been one of the biggest critics of expansion and quins in particular. but i have been converted by some of the superb rugby they have played over the past 2 seasons, and i have developed quite a soft spot for quins as a result. hopefully more and more people will be converted to admiring the quins like myself.......................

When the football seasons over why not target a different London Premier League club each home game and say their season ticket holders get in free?! i dont think any of them are quaking in their boots about a few fans going to watch the rugby during the off season so im sure theyd help. maybe invite few celebs top footballers to games? raise the profile?

when london became harlequins i heard of quite a few fans turning away as they didnt want to support quins. these were people who followed other london based union clubs and so wouldnt give money to what they saw as one of their rivals.
how much of an effect did this have?

There are still a few lunatics like you who are refusing to see the light on our forum (although most have no converted to actually realising the club are is in deep trouble).

I've often thought that might be the case. As well as the rivalry, did the club lose some identity by taking the same name as another club?

I was always a fan of the broncos set-up and felt if they got themselves a permanent home, gave it time and worked hard, they'd be one of the best supported league sides in the country. Can't help feeling getting into bed with harlequins has set them right back.
